Crater Lake is is a nearly neverending supply of drinking water for the people of Cauldron, though many of the wealthier nobles have their water imported due to the fact that the lake also serves as the city’s sewer. Local priests maintain the purity of the water in exchange for donations to their temples, so the water is perfectly safe to drink despite the pollution.

The local fishing industry is meager at best, though not non-existant. Luckily, the business has little competition as few people dare to brave the water. Stories run rampant of a horrifying tentacled monster that resides deep within the lake’s depths. There is even a popular inn in town that mocks the superstition, the Drunken Morkoth Inn.
